Principal

Susie Bello has over 17 years of experience in education as a Teacher, Department Head, Mathematics and Science Instructional Coach, Curriculum Specialist, Assistant Principal, and Principal. Mrs. Bello began her educational career as an elementary teacher and department head in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She was then recruited to become a curriculum support specialist for the district supporting 10 elementary schools and K-8 centers. She was paramount in transforming low performing schools to meet the needs of twenty-first century learners through use of technology and strategies for creating a positive culture. She was part of Superintendent Carvalho’s team that succeeded with zero F schools in the M-DCPS district. This experience led her into an administrative position with AcadeMir Charter Schools, Inc.
Mrs. Bello served as the Assistant Principal and Mathematics and Science
Instructional Coach at AcadeMir Preparatory Academy (APA) and AcadeMir Charter School Middle (ACSM). In her time there, ACSM became an A rated high performing school and APA made huge gains and had academic success. She assisted both schools with receiving SACS/COGNIA Accreditation.
Mrs. Bello was the founding principal of AcadeMir Charter School of Math and Science, an elementary school in Homestead, FL. She has been the proud principal of AcadeMir Charter School West for the past 3 years and has led the school to achieve many distinguished accolades with local and national organizations. She has also led the school to receive top performing scores in the state of Florida, as well as the COGNIA re-accreditation.
Mrs. Bello graduated Magna Cum Laude with a master’s degree in educational
leadership from Grand Canyon University and with the distinction of being placed on the Dean’s List. She received her bachelor’s degree from Florida International University.

Tracy Rodriguez
Asst. Principal

Tracy Rodriguez has over 11 years of experience in education, and has been at
AcadeMir Charter School West since 2019. She has a bachelor’s from Florida
International University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from St. Thomas University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and is a member of Kappa Gamma Pi, the National Catholic College Graduate Honor Society.
Mrs. Rodriguez began her educational career in Miami-Dade as a first-grade teacher. She spent many years teaching third grade and fourth grade gifted and advanced learners, as well as other exceptional students. Rodriguez has held the position of Science Department Chair, Grade Level Department Chair, and Math Lead, which allowed her to collaborate and support instruction across multiple grade levels. She assisted with the development of multiple committees and fundraising programs.
In 2017, Mrs. Rodriguez was given the opportunity to further assist and influence the lives of her students when she accepted the position as Dean of Students in a lower socio-economic charter school. At that time, she acted as Title I Facilitator, Professional Development Liaison, and Project Up-Start Liaison. Mrs. Rodriguez recognized that there was a serious need to meet her students’ basic needs, especially of those in transitional housing, and established imperative partnerships with clothing programs, tutoring resources, and food backpack programs to ensure the health and safety of her students beyond the classroom and schoolhouse.
In 2021, Mrs. Rodriguez became the Assistant Principal of AcadeMir Charter School West, where she assisted with the addition of the Middle School and our Cognia Reaccreditation. It is part of her mission to promote academic excellence and the value of character education. Mrs. Rodriguez believes it is important to strive for success for all learners by focusing on early intervention, without sacrificing rigor and enrichment, while instilling a profound love for learning.
Mrs. Rodriguez is married and has two children. Both, her daughter and her son, attend AcadeMir Charter School West and are proud to call themselves ACSW Tigers. Mrs. Rodriguez and her family are looking forward to their future with ACSW, as well as the esteem that comes from being a part of the AcadeMir Organization.
